FLSA Work Week Change

Effective Jan. 1, the FLSA work week for DOF has changed to Monday – Sunday. When you log into Cardinal, the default view of your timesheet should now begin on Monday. 2024 Mileage Rate Updates

The IRS Mileage rate increases to 67 cents, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Internal resources will be updated to reflect this change. DOA will update the Travel Expense Reimbursement Voucher form to reflect the 2024 rate and can be found here: Forms – Virginia Department of Accounts.   The Fleet rate of 24.6 cents remains unchanged.Please reach out to Finance if you have any questions or need assistance with mileage reimbursement rates.


New NameDrop Feature on iPhones

Apple’s latest iOS 17 update (iOS 17.1.2) includes a new feature, NameDrop. This feature enables users to share contact information when two iPhones are within tapping range of each other. This feature works similarly to Apple’s AirDrop feature, where users must accept or deny before the sharing or receiving of data is permitted.   Although this feature does not pose a security risk to your device, nor the Commonwealth’s security, some users may prefer to disable this feature.
