Burning Restrictions

The 4PM Burning Law is in effect statewide February 15 to April 30, restricting open air burning until after 4:00 p.m.

Localities may have local burning ordinances or restrictions – check your local burning laws.

During prolonged periods of drought and increased fire danger, localities may enact temporary burn bans to prevent unnecessary wildfire starts. Always check local restrictions.

DOF maps any known local burn bans in effect as a service to citizens. However, DOF may not be aware of all local burn bans so always check with local officials.
