The 4PM Burning Law is in effect statewide February 15 to April 30, restricting open air burning until after 4:00 p.m.
Localities and communities may have ordinances and restrictions on burning. Or, during prolonged periods of drought and increased fire danger, localities may enact temporary burn bans to prevent unnecessary wildfire starts.
