DOF’s Applied Research Program has been active for nearly 70 years. The program has allowed us to do specific and targeted studies that are directly applicable to conditions and topics encountered in Virginia. The session will provide an overview of what we’ve learned over the years and how it has, and continues to make Virginia’s forests more productive and healthy, including historical highlights featuring those who made it happen. We’ll provide tips for accessing information and data, and offer a rare opportunity to peek into the archives.
